This piece, Edge of the Salt Marsh, is inspired by Stiffkey Marshes in Norfolk – a vast stretch of unspoiled salt marsh now cared for by the National Trust. It’s a place I hold many fond childhood memories of, especially ‘cockerelling.’ The marshes are rich in wildlife, home to a wide variety of birds, including curlews, often seen foraging for a salty snack.
