Inspired by Rural Life
Growing up with farming in my family, I developed a deep love of the countryside, its animals, and the gentle rhythm of the changing seasons.
This collection celebrates the life that exists just beyond the barn door—where swallows nest in old beams, wildflowers soften worn timber, and every farmyard has its own quiet character.
Each piece is created using my own combination of hand painting, layers of vintage and repurposed fabrics, and free-motion embroidery to bring these much-loved rural scenes to life. Rich in texture and stitched with care, I hope they evoke a sense of nostalgia and connection, and that you enjoy them as much as I have loved creating them.
Each artwork starts as a hand-drawn illustration before being transferred onto carefully selected vintage fabric. Using free-motion embroidery, I stitch the design freehand with my sewing machine, creating expressive lines and texture. Then I hand-paint, adding colour and bringing each piece to life.
About My Artistic Process
I carefully choose each piece of vintage fabric for its texture, colour and character. Whether it's a faded floral, a well-loved linen or a delicate cotton, every fabric brings its own history and charm, becoming an integral part of the finished artwork.
